As an educator, I believe it is important to assess students' improvement as well as their ability to reach the learning outcomes. It is the teacher's responsibility to ensure the students are reaching their maximum learning potential. By formative and summative assessment students can receive descriptive feedback and self-monitor their way to success, with some guidance of course. In all subject areas I will include the six strands of English Language Arts, as they are essential for efficacious learning in and out of school.
