Instruction & Pedagogy: TQS #5, 9, 10
Every student deserves to have his or her own voice, opinion and ability to learn. Through differentiated instruction I can achieve the goal of inclusion, as individuals become lifelong learners via educational changes to suit ones needs. I support each child by enforcing fairness in the classroom in which I provide each student tools and strategies to meet his or her needs in order to be successful. I follow accommodations and approaches set in place for specific children and continue to develop and enhance my teaching in order to fit the different learning needs in the class. Visuals in the classroom are used to target specific learning needs and skills with a number of students. Instructional strategies such as small and large group work which allows for communication, collaboration and community, one on one which is used for re-teaching, independent work, practice, and motivation for learning, and whole class instruction which is used for teaching, engagement, and bringing the class together, are exercised on a daily basis to provide opportunities to reach the needs of all children.
