Educational Philosophy
I believe education is a continuous journey full of curiosity. As an educator it is my responsibility to provide a safe and caring environment where children and youth can expand their imagination, abilities, and skills. Education gives individuals the opportunity to express their opinions, learn from others and explore new things. I believe having the ability to acquire and expand knowledge should be accessible to everyone with no limitations, rules or exclusions to learning. I enforce fairness and provide each student with tools and strategies to meet his or her needs in order to be successful.
School community is built with collaboration, passion, teamwork, respect and curiosity. It is essential that I build and maintain a strong relationship with each and every child. Building a positive environment in the classroom will enable the continuous learning of not only my students, but I as well. To construct a positive learning environment I must focus around inclusive education, differentiation and student success. Every individual deserves to have his or her own voice, opinion and ability to learn. Through differentiated instruction, I can achieve the goal of inclusion. Individuals become lifelong learners as education changes to suit ones needs.
To encourage learning, I need to create an engaging, passionate, and inspirational atmosphere. I strive for a balanced classroom meaning, in order to successfully learn I believe the mind, body and soul needs to be aligned. I want all children and youth to feel welcomed, loved, appreciated, and most importantly have the confidence to learn. I will take pride in my educational atmosphere as I watch the children and youth grow into responsible, respectful, caring people with the desire to learn.
